Do I need to be a student?

No, you do not need to be a student. You need to be a native English speaker and at least 18-19 years old with a positive attitude.

Do I need teaching qualifications to apply for the programme?

No, you do not need any formal qualifications. You will get training during the first 2 weeks of orientation in China and/or through the TEFL classes.

Can I extend my teaching placement after 6 months to 12 months?

Yes you can. You will need to contact us at least 2 months prior your visa gets expired and we will initiate necessary arrangements.

Will I have access to the Internet during my stay?

Yes within the first two weeks of your orientation programme, your host family will provide you with access and after you have moved into your apartment you can access the internet through the network provided by the school.

Can I also apply for the next programme start date?

Yes you can. The next semester will start in August 2010 and we accept applications all year round.

Can I also take additional Mandarin courses near the school?

Yes we can arrange extra courses for you. If you wish to do so, feel free to ask us for details.

I am not from an English speaking country but my parents first language is English and I have been raised bilingual. Can I still apply for the programme?

We would have to check your level of English but generally there are no restrictions on nationality.

Can I visit my family and friends for holidays?

Yes, you will be provided with a multy entry visa which allows you to exit and re-enter the country.
