Volunteering in Costa Rica gives you a chance to participate in various interesting conservation programmes which would suit not only animal lovers, take part in educational activities in schools and other community projects.
All our projects in Costa Rica give you an opportunity to observe the local flora, acquire new skills, learn a different language and soak up a new culture.

Placement Details

You can choose from any of various projects:

  • Help and support for children (including teaching English);
  • Organizing activities for children;
  • Rescuing animals in danger and introducing them back into their natural environment;
  • Feeding animals, infrastructure maintenance, guiding tourists;
  • Trail and road maintenance within a national park.

Accommodation Homestay or student residence - £60-65 per week.
Location of job placement Heredia, San Jose, Santa Domingo de Heredia, Guanacaste, Cartago, Monteverde and Puntarenas.
Duration of the placement From 1 to 6 months
When to apply? Programme is not available in December, January and February.
