Although, Guatemala has highest GDP in Central America, unequal distribution of wealth and immense population growth cause massive poverty, more than 75% of national population lives below the poverty line, this poverty percentage is even more severe among the rural and indigenous populations.

Therefore, you help is indispensable, especially in rural areas. For the period of participating in Volunteer programme you will be expected to provide help and support for children and their families or engage yourself in wildlife conservations programmes in order to protect the Guatemalan environment.
